Those who are envious and mischievous, who are the lowest among men, I perpetually cast into the ocean of material existence, into various demoniac species of life.PURPORT by HDG Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada:
In this verse it is clearly indicated that the placing of a particular individual soul in a particular body is the prerogative of the supreme will. The demoniac person may not agree to accept the supremacy of the Lord, and it is a fact that he may act according to his own whims, but his next birth will depend upon the decision of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and not on himself. In the Srimad-Bhagavatam, Third Canto, it is stated that an individual soul, after his death, is put into the womb of a mother where he gets a particular type of body under the supervision of superior power. Therefore in the material existence we find so many species of life--animals, insects, men, and so on. All are arranged by the superior power. They are not accidental. As for the demoniac, it is clearly said here that they are perpetually put into the wombs of demons, and thus they continue to be envious, the lowest of mankind. Such demoniac species of men are held to be always full of lust, always violent and hateful and always unclean. The many kinds of hunters in the jungle are considered to belong to the demoniac species of life.Copyright 1983 The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International. Used with permission.

Prabhupada Uvacha:
(here's some nectar, sometimes it comes in the form of Srutakirti prabhu's
diary, other times from Govinda dasi's diary, or sometimes from a letter,
but still nectar...)
Comet is a bad omen
When in January 1974 devotees saw Kahoutek's Comet
and told Srila Prabhupada, he called the comet a bad omen. "In our childhood,"
he said, "we saw a comet and the first world war was declared." The witnesses
of the Kohoutek Comet told Prabhupada that it had filled up the sky near
their airplane with flashes of light.
"And they say the tail is three million miles
long. It's going very fast, so it is emitting a tail of gasses."
"So who is supplying the gasses?" asked Prabhupada.
"The Arabians?"
He said the comet was like a policeman who all
of a sudden comes before us. By his presence, we can understand that some
criminal is present and the policeman is searching. He said disasters would
follow.
The anticult crusade in America was only beginning
its campaign during Srila Prabhupada's very last years. But Prabhupada
gave good advice how the devotees could combat it and how they could realise
they were protected by Krsna.
Ramesvara Swami was once explaining to Srila
Prabhupada about these activities during a visit with Prabhupada in India.
"we're actually getting much more free exposure
on the radio and television," said Ramesvara Swami, "and each time we come
off sounding very intelligent, religious and nice, and the deprogrammers
come off sounding like lunatics and bigots. So people are getting a good
impression of us because of the publicity on radio and television."
"Yes," said Prabhupada. "Just like Sita was put
into the fire and she came out unburned. Sita was blasphemed. They said,
'This woman was kidnapped by Ravana, and Ramacandra is so henpecked that
He has again picked her up and is living with her.' So Ramacandra put her
in the fire, and she came out unharmed."

"ABC's of Degradation & Elevation"
Srimad-Bhagavatam 6.2.1
Vrndavana, September 5, 1975
Listen to the entire lecture on-line:
http://prabhupadavani.org/Bhagavatam/RAMfiles2/SB536.ram
Srila Prabhupada begins speaking:
So two parties, Yamaduta and the Bhagavad-duta. So this human life is the junction, which way to go, to the Yamadutas or to the Bhagavad-dutas. There is no three. Two alternative. In the Bible also it is said, "Either you go to hell or go to heaven." Is it not? This is right. Yamaduta means go to hell, and Bhagavad-duta means go to Vaikuntha. This is the junction.
Now make your selection. So long we are in the lower animal life, nature is giving chance. Prakrteh kriyamanani [Bg. 3.27]. Then nature brings you in the platform of human life, developed consciousness, and you can take advantage of the sastra. Anadi bahirmukha krsna bhuli gela, ataeva krsna veda purana karila. Veda-Purana, why they have been made? It is made for the human being. This is the chance. Veda-Purana is not made for the cats and dogs. They are not supposed to read Veda and Puranas. Similarly, if the human being does not take care of the Veda Puranas, then he is no better than the cats and dogs. Ataeva krsna veda purana karila. To revive our Krsna consciousness. Uttisthata jagrata prapta-varan nibodhata. This is the Vedic injunction. So long you were in the lower grade of life it was not possible for you to take the path of Vedas and Puranas. That was not possible. But now, even if getting the human form of life, if you live for sense gratification like cats and dogs, then the Yamaduta... Yamaduta. Krsna nama kara bhai ara saba miche, palaye bara katha naya yo mache piche.(?) These are very easily understandable. You cannot avoid Krsna consciousness. That is not possible. If you avoid, then yo mache piche -- the Yamadutas will carry you. You can say, "I can do whatever I like. Why you are forcing me to become Krsna conscious? I can do whatever I like. There is no need of your preaching Krsna consciousness. I am independent. I don't believe in the next life." That is the general statement of the rascals and fools. But the fact is different. If you don't take to Krsna consciousness, then Yamadutas Then you'll be punished. You cannot avoid. You are completely dependent on Krsna. Krsna is the Supreme, and you are the servant. You have declined to serve Krsna; therefore you must be punished. This is the nature's way. Daivi hy esa gunamayi [Bg. 7.14]. You cannot escape. You can not escape the mundane, man-made laws, but you cannot the God-made laws. That is not possible.

Manasa Deha Geha
by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura
"My mind, my body, my home, or whatever I have in my possession I surrender unto Your lotus feet, O my dear Lord, son of Nanda Maharaja. In good or bad fortune, in life or at death, there is no other duty than taking shelter of Your lotus feet. Now if you like You can kill me, or if You like You can give me protection. Whatever You like You can do. I am Your eternal servitor. You have every right to deal with me in any way You please. If I must be reborn, let that birth, by Your desire, be in the home of a devotee. Let that birth be mine. Even a worm's life I'll live as Your servant, but a nondevotee Brahma's lifetime I'll never accept. If one has no aspiration for enjoyment or liberation, I simply hanker for his association. Fathers, mothers, daughters, sons -- all there may be -- master, preceptor, husband, You are all in all to me. Bhaktivinoda says: 'O Krsna, do hear. Lord of Srimati Radharani, You are my life dear.'"

This action was long desired by all of them, who were much harassed by this monster.

"IN EVERY TOWN AND VILLAGE the chanting of the Holy Name of Krishna shall be heard. This was the forecast made by Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu almost 500 years ago in India. Today, as the Hare Krishna Mantra -- Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare -- resounds in Bombay and New York, Nairobi and Sydney, and in Paris and Hong Kong, the prophecy of Lord Caitanya stands fulfilled. The universal import of this "Samkirtan Movement" (the congregational chanting of the Holy Names of the Lord) was expressed by Lord Caitanya as follows:
"Glory to the Sri Krishna Samkirtan which cleanses the heart of all the dust accumulated for years together. Thus the fire of conditional life, of repeated birth and death, is extinguished. The Samkirtan Movement is the prime benediction for humanity at large because it spreads the rays of the benediction Moon. It is the life of all transcendental knowledge, it increases the ocean of transcendental bliss, and it helps us to have a taste of the full nectar for which we are always anxious."

Agama Tantra and the Vaishnava Samskaras
as a way of life:
Recently I was asked, "Don't you find it an inconvenience to always be checking to see when is the right time to do this or the best time for that?"
In simple terms my answer was and still is; if you go to the bus or railway station or airport it is probably an intelligent venture to enquire about the times and routes of vehicles than to just hope that one will be along soon, or one is going in your direction.
There are subtle influences in the Universe that for thousands of years by advanced cultures have honoured, respected and utilised. Before the corruption of the Vedik literatures by the Christian and Moslem invaders to India all these things were used; Ayurvedik Medicine; Vedik Astrology; etc. Today there's a rennaisance among many to revive these arts.
We have been trained and studied to be able to provide these services. See some of my sites:

Moscow Mayor Okays Construction Of Temple
February 2, 2004
FROM HINDUSTAN TIMES
MOSCOW, RUSSIA, Feb 2 - Ignoring opposition from some Christian quarters and ultra-nationalist lawmakers, Moscow Mayor has cleared the construction of a Hindu temple and Vedic Centre in the city by the local followers of Lord Krishna.
Mayor Yuri Luzhkov has allotted a 1.05 hectare plot of land on the prestigious Leningrad Prospekt to the Moscow chapter of International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) for the construction of the Vedic Centre.
Alfred Ford (Ambarish dasa ACBSP), grandson of the US automobile magnate late Henry Ford, has promised to finance the construction of the Vedic Centre, which besides a temple would have museum of ancient Indian religious culture, Yoga centre, a compact theatre and vegetarian cafe, said Sergei Andreeyev chief of the local ISKCON chapter.
Russian chapter of ISKCON was registered in 1988 and has over 300 local branches all over the country.
Moscow alone has about 10,000 Russian followers of Lord Krishna.
The first Krishna temple was opened in 1990 in an old building of a technical school, which under the city master plan would be pulled down for the construction of new apartment blocs.

From Russia, for a Krishna temple
Express Features Service

Mumbai, March 7: IF his parents had their way, he would be spending
his life in labs and classrooms. But then Bhaktivigyan Goswami Maharaj,
Russia's first sanyasi, has always done exactly what he wants to do.
So today he's in Mumbai to propagate Krishna consciousness and seek
funds for a massive Krishna temple in the heart of Moscow.

Seated at the spacious lecture hall of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Chowpatty, the 48-year-old adjusts his saffron robes, saying: ``It's been a long struggle for Krishna's followers in Russia. The government has allotted 2.5 acres of land for a temple at Leningrad Sky Prospect, a 10-minute drive from Kremlin. It will be a massive structure, inspired both by traditional and modern architecture.''
It's been a tough journey for Maharaj (he does not want to reveal his earlier name) too.
Over two decades ago, while doing his PhD in Biochemistry at the Moscow university, he came in contact with Krishna followers. ``I started asking questions. When I looked for answers, neither Biochemistry nor any religion could satisfy me. I eventually found peace with Krishna consciousness. I don't regret joining the movement,'' says Maharaj, who is the chairperson of the Russian Society for Krishna Consciousness.
``There are 60-70 million Krishna followers in Russia, around 10,000 in Moscow alone. The movement's flourishing there,'' says the guru, who has even faced prosecution by the KGB, the former Russian intelligence agency.
Many of his colleagues were jailed. Three of them, he recalls, died after being tortured. ``We endured all sorts of hardships. We still face opposition from the orthodox Church in Russia. But we will not stop our mission''.

Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock's new documentary, "Super Size Me,"
details his 30-day McDonald's diet and subsequent health woes.
- Julie Soefer
January 22, 2004 -- LAST February, Morgan Spurlock decided to become
a gastronomical guinea pig.
His mission: To eat three meals a day for 30 days at McDonald's and
document the impact on his health.
Scores of cheeseburgers, hundreds of fries and dozens of chocolate shakes later, the formerly strapping 6-foot-2 New Yorker - who started out at a healthy 185 pounds - had packed on 25 pounds.
But his supersized shape was the least of his problems.
Within a few days of beginning his drive-through diet, Spurlock, 33, was vomiting out the window of his car, and doctors who examined him were shocked at how rapidly Spurlock's entire body deteriorated.
"It was really crazy - my body basically fell apart over the course of 30 days," Spurlock told The Post.
His liver became toxic, his cholesterol shot up from a low 165 to 230, his libido flagged and he suffered headaches and depression.
Spurlock charted his journey from fit to flab in a tongue-in-cheek documentary,
which he has taken to the Sundance Film Festival with
the hopes of getting a distribution deal.
"Super Size Me" explores the obesity epidemic that plagues America today - a sort of "Bowling for Columbine" for fast food.
As well as documenting his own burger-fueled bulk-up, Spurlock travels to 20 cities across America, interviewing people on the street, health experts and a lobbyist for the fast-food industry.
Despite making dozens of phone calls, Spurlock fails to get anyone from McDonald's to agree to an on-camera interview.
A spokeswoman for McDonald's told The Post yesterday that no representatives from the corporation had seen "Super Size Me."
"Consumers can achieve balance in their daily dining decisions by choosing from our array of quality offerings and range of portion sizes to meet their taste and nutrition goals," McDonald's said in a statement.
Over the course of the film, Spurlock is regularly examined by a gastroenterologist, a cardiologist and SoHo-based general practitioner Dr. Daryl Isaacs.
"He was an extremely healthy person who got very sick eating this McDonald's diet," Dr. Isaacs told The Post.
"None of us imagined he could deteriorate this badly - he looked terrible. The liver test was the most shocking thing - it became very, very abnormal."
Spurlock has since returned to normal health. "The treatment was to just stop doing what he was doing," Dr. Isaacs says.
Spurlock, who says he ate at McDonald's only sporadically before his total immersion in the Mickey D'######, says he even began craving fat and sugar fixes between meals.
"I got desperately ill," he says. "My face was splotchy and I had this huge gut, which I've never had in my life.
"My knees started to hurt from the extra weight coming on so quickly. It was amazing - and really frightening."
Spurlock's girlfriend, Alex Jamieson, was horrified - she's a vegan chef.
"She was completely disgusted by me, not happy at all," he says. "But she realized what my goals were in trying to educate people."
Spurlock, a film producer who grew up in West Virginia and studied ballet for eight years, was spurred to make his first feature film while watching TV on Thanksgiving Day, 2002.
"I was feeling like a typical American on Thanksgiving - very bloated and happy on the couch - and at some point on the news they were talking about two women who were suing McDonald's.
"People from the food industry were saying, 'You can't link kids being fat to our food - our food is nutritious.'
"I said, 'How nutritious is it really? Let's find out."
Not surprisingly, Spurlock has steered clear of the Golden Arches since filming wrapped.
"I have not had McDonald's for seven months, but yesterday, during an interview, I had a bite of a Big Mac," he says.
"I chewed it up, swallowed it and I said, 'You know what, I'm pretty much done after that bite.' "
Ford scion plans 'Spiritual Disneyland' in West Bengal

Ford scion plans ‘spiritual Disneyland’ in Bengal

A great grandson of Henry Ford is planning a sprawling religious complex at the headquarters of the global Hare Krishna sect in West Bengal, but the project is still awaiting land from the government.
Alfred B. Ford, in town to attend a function of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), wants the Rs.6 billion project to come up at the sect's Mayapur centre in Nadia district.
"But we are yet to get land from the West Bengal government to translate our plan into a reality," regretted Ford at a gathering of ISKCON members here.
The project that Ford describes as a "spiritual Disneyland" will be a one-stop religious tourism centre that one can use as a retreat to rejuvenate spirit and body -- the Hare Krishna style.
Ford, whose family became followers of ISKCON founder Srila Prabhupad many years ago, says people at his proposed spiritual Disneyland can pursue their religious quest, research Indian culture or simply relax in a spiritual environment.
The project, also being described as a Vedic Planetarium, is to come up on 400 acres of land. It will have hostels, hotels, cultural and religious centres and health centres.
But all the plans can come unstuck if the government does not give it the required land.
ISKCON authorities have been pursuing the government on the matter for two months but have so far failed to get any assurance of grant of land.
The government was reportedly willing to allow Ford ownership of only 10 percent of the 400 acres of land required for the project. This was because of land ceiling laws of the state.
ISKCON members are unhappy with the government's alleged non-cooperation despite the fact that Ford considered himself close to West Bengal as his wife was a Bengali.
They also say such a project can assist in improving the state's socio-economic scenario by creating new job opportunities.
Exasperated with the government's indifference, Ford has even threatened to take his dream project away to Puri, Orissa, another prominent pilgrimage for ISKCON followers.
A similar article:
A scion of the Ford family who became a follower of International Society for Krishna Consciousness several decades ago is making grand plans to promote the sect's headquarters in West Bengal as a 'spiritual tourism' destination.
ISKCON, more popular as the Hare Rama Hare Krishna sect, was founded by Srila Prabhupada and its members are followers of Lord Krishna.
Alfred Brush Ford, a great grandson of Henry Ford of America's Ford Motor Company, wants to build a 'Spiritual Disneyland' in Mayapur town in Nadia district not only as a tribute to the sect but also as a business venture.
Ford, who goes by the name Ambarish Das in keeping with the sect's practice of giving each devotee a spiritual name, is married to Sharmila, a Bengali. He was in India to attend a religious congregation and the opening of a new temple at the ISKCON headquarters in Mayapur.
'Spiritual Disneyland' was conceived as a one-stop religious tourism centre that one could use as a retreat to rejuvenate ones spirit and body in the Hare Rama Hare Krishna style.
Ford likes to describe it as a 'vedic planetarium' where one could pursue his/her religious quest, research Indian culture or simply relax in a spiritual environment.
The project is to come up on 400 acres of land at a cost of Rs 600crore (about $133mn) and would have hostels, hotels, cultural and religious centres and health spas.
"We are yet to get land from the West Bengal government," he told rediff.com. Despite several attempts, he has so far failed to meet the Communist-ruled state's chief minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya.
ISKCON sources deny Bhattacharya's reluctance to meet Ford as a having anything to do with the conflict between religion and Communism. State Finance Minister Asim Dasgupta did meet Ford and enquire about his plans.
The main problem that Ford faces is in ownership of the venture. The state's land ceiling laws will allow him ownership of only 10 percent of the 400 acres of land that he has sought.
It remains to be seen if the government makes an exemption for him to
keep the investment in West Bengal in view of Ford having received an offer
from the Orissa government to set up the venture in Puri, another important
pilgrimage centre for the sect.
"We can't wait indefinitely. If not here, then we could move this to
Puri," Ford told rediff.com.

NOIDA, INDIA, March 3, 2004: Hundreds of students at a premier school in Noida on Wednesday took part in a special prayer ceremony to seek divine blessing ahead of their career-determining high school examinations, considered to be most crucial. Organized by a school in Noida, on the outskirts of New Delhi, the ritual was performed with full Hindu rites, as the priest chanted Vedic hymns invoking Saraswati, the Goddess of learning. Over 900,000 children across India will be appearing for their standard 10th and 12th papers, conducted annually by the country's main education board. "Well, the purpose is to bring mental peace to the children before they appear for the exams, that is one purpose, and that is why all the children are attending it. We specifically told them to meditate and concentrate on the prayer and Gayatri mantra (a Vedic chant), so that they are calm and peaceful before they are going in for the exams, and can go with a clear mind. The other purpose is to give them blessings," Mohina Darr, principal of the Amity International School, said. Poonam Sharma, a secondary school student, appearing for her first board paper, said she felt much eased after the prayers. "I was feeling very tense earlier, but after attending this havan I feel quite at ease. I believe in God," Sharma said.

Scientists Create Vaccine for Tourists Against "Delhi
Belly"
http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/5983_603707,00430005.htm
LONDON, ENGLAND, March 8, 2004: Tourists to India and other tropical countries could enjoy their holidays there more now without the fear of being afflicted by "Delhi Belly," the bug that causes diarrhoea. According to statistics available, British travellers are the worst affected because most of them do not wash their hands. Now, even these tourists would get protection. Scientists have developed a vaccine Dukorai, which is expected to be in the market within a year. It is an oral vaccine, which is to be taken as a drink in two doses at least a week before departure and provides up to three months' protection against infection by enterotoxigenic E.coli. Dukorai also acts against cholera. A study published in Lancet showed just over half of all visitors to Kenya and India developed diarrhoea. The vaccine, developers claim, could offer nearly foolproof protection.

Meat from accused killer's farm may have contained human
remains

Story Tools
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) -- Pork products processed and distributed from the farm of accused Canadian serial killer Robert Pickton may have contained human remains, police and health officials said Wednesday.
Pickton raised and slaughtered pigs at the Port Coquitlam farm as a part-time occupation until his arrest at the property in February 2002, and police believe he gave or sold processed meat products to friends and acquaintances.
Pickton, 53, is awaiting trial in the killings of at least 22 of more than 60 missing Vancouver prostitutes who disappeared over the past decade and are feared to have been murdered at the dilapidated farm 20 miles east of Vancouver.
"Given the state of the farm, and what we know about the investigation, we cannot rule out the possibility that cross-contamination may have occurred," B.C. provincial Health Officer Perry Kendall told reporters in Victoria.
"Cross-contamination could mean that human remains did get into or contaminate some of the pork meat," Kendall said.
Officials stressed that the farm's pig slaughtering operation was not officially licensed and he did not sell processed meat to retail outlets.
"There is no evidence we are dealing with anything other than a very specific localized issue, with a specific number of local people," said Cpl. Catherine Galliford of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Kendall said he was not contacted by the police until last month when they asked a "hypothetical question' about the potential health risk. He issued the alert when they later said it probably happened.
Details of evidence from the farm were presented in court last year at Pickton's preliminary hearing, but a court order prohibits reporters who covered the hearing from publishing details of what they heard until it is used in his trial, which will likely not start until next year.
Police defended the timing of their contacting health officials, saying it was needed to protect the investigation, although they also acknowledged more people may have received meat from Pickton than they had orginally thought.
"We have carefully considered all the issues," said Vancouver Police Detective Shelia Sullivan.
Pickton is officially charged with 15 murders but prosecutors have said seven more counts are waiting to be filed. Tests have identified the DNA of nine more women, but not yet resulted in charges.
The victims were among more than 60 drug-addicted prostitutes who disappeared from Vancouver's poor Downtown Eastside neighborhood. Families of the missing women expressed horror at the news, with one telling a Vancouver radio station bluntly. "I'm not eating dinner tonight."
Pickton, in custody since his arrest, is the only person charged in the case. He has not entered a plea to the criminal charges but denied wrongdoing in a related civil lawsuit.

The inevitable has happened—a case of Mad Cow disease in the U.S. Though Britain and Japan have already experienced this devastating issue, we Americans are grappling with how to deal with this, while our government is trying to put just the right spin on it.
My local paper ran an excellent wire story the other day titled “Mad Cow is least of food problems.” While Mad Cow is not to be minimized, the statistics about other food-borne illnesses are underreported: each year, 76 million people get sick, 325,000 are hospitalized, and 5,000 die in the U.S. alone from food-borne illness.
While a percentage of these illnesses are from improperly washed produce, or produce that has been contaminated, a lion’s share of these illnesses are caused by meat. Poultry, which is perceived to be “healthier” than red meat, causes 2 million illnesses per year just from one bacteria, campylobacter. Eggs and seafood can be culprits, too. Salmonella, e coli, and listera are other pathogens that cause much illness.
Going back to the teens who write to me, many tell me that their parents feel that not eating meat is “risky.” It seems to me that just the opposite is true. If my kids wanted to eat meat, I’d really be nervous! I'm glad that this is not even a remote possibility.
I think it’s best to go vegetarian on the basis of conviction rather than reaction, but if ever there was a time to consider the possibility due to unsettling statistics, this would be it!

NEW DELHI, INDIA, March 11, 2004: Boosting the government bid to free the holy city of Rishikesh of "non-vegetarian" items, the Supreme Court has upheld an official notification banning sale of eggs which followed a similar ban on sale of meat and fish in the city, the gateway to important pilgrimage centres. Dismissing an appeal challenging the notification on the ground that it was violative of the fundamental right to carry on all types of business, a bench of Justice Shivaraj V. Patil and Justice D. M. Dharmadhikari said the high court had rightly upheld the constitutional validity of the notification. Justice Patil said the high court was right in holding that prohibition of sale of eggs within the municipal limits of Rishikesh was not an unreasonable restriction as the by-law was "in the larger interest of welfare of people...." The public dealing in meat, fish and eggs was banned by notification as far back as July 23, 1956 and the same was extended to Muni ki Reti in 1976. Justice Dharmadhikari said that it was a matter of common knowledge that members of several communities in India were strictly vegetarians and shun meat, fish and eggs and such people in large numbers regularly and periodically visit Haridwar, Rishikesh and Muni ki Reti.

INDIA, February 29, 2004: The article which appeared in the last HPI on the "Year of Mahabharata" had an invalid URL. Following is the full text of the article, as several readers have asked for it:
For thousands of years, we have believed in the divinity of Shri Krishna. For us he was a Karmayogi par excellence who gave us action oriented philosophy of life in the form of Bhagavad Gita. But questions have constantly haunted us as to whether Krishna was a historical or mythical character and whether the war of Mahabharata was actually fought.
Till recently, we did not have the wherewithal to search for and establish the truth. But modern scientific tools and techniques like computers with planetarium softwares, advancements in archaeological and marine archaeological techniques, earth-sensing satellite photography and thermo-luminescence dating methods, all have made it possible to establish the authenticity and dating of many events narrated in ancient texts like the Mahabharata. Recent archaeo-astronomical studies, results of marine-archaeological explorations and overwhelming archaeological evidence have established the historicity and dating of many events narrated in the Mahabharata. These have led to the conclusion that Mahabharata War was actually fought in 1478 BC and Shri Krishna's Dwarka City got submerged under the sea in 1443 BC.
Astronomical Evidence: In the Mahabharata references to sequential solar and lunar eclipses as also references to some celestial observations have been made. Dr RN Iyengar, the great scientist of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, examined relevant references and searched for the compatible dates by making use of planetarium software (PVIS and EZC). He concluded that most of these references were internally consistent and that the eclipses and celestial observations of Mahabharata belong to the period 1493 BC-1443 BC of Indian History, (refer Indian Journal of History of Science/38.2/2003/77-115).
In the Mahabharata, there are references to three sequential solar eclipses and some other planetary positions. Reference to the first solar eclipse comes in the Sabha Parva (79.29), graphically described by Vidur when Pandavas start their journey to the forest on being banished for 12 years of life in exile and one year of life incognito after they had lost everything in the game of dice. After 13 years of exile and incognito life, the Pandavas returned to Hastinapur and demanded their kingdom back, but Duryodhana refused. Several efforts to prevent war failed and war became imminent.
There is a reference to the second solar eclipse in the Bhisma Parva (3.29), following a lunar eclipse occurring within the same fortnight a few days before the actual war of Mahabharata. These eclipses occurred after 14-15 years of the first solar eclipse The epic also refers to some unfavorable planetary positions between the second solar eclipse and the beginning of the war on Kartika Purnima (Bhisma Parva 3.14 to 3.19). On Kartika Krishna Ashtami, Saturn was near Rohini and Mars was between Jayestha and Anuradha. Twenty two days later, on Kartika Purnima, Saturn was near Rohini, Mars was near Jayestha (probably Uranus) was between Citra and Swati.
Another white planet (possibly Jupiter) had moved from Purva-bhadra to Uttar-bhadra. Reference to the third solar eclipse comes in the Mausala Parva (2.19 to 2.20) occurring in the 36th year of the Mahabharata War. This was visible from the city of Dwarka, which is stated to have been subsequently submerged under the sea. For these observations to be internally consistent, there should have been three solar eclipses within 50 years. The first one and the second one after a gap of 14-15 years should have been visible from Kurukshetra whereas the third solar eclipse should have been visible from Dwarka after 35 years of the second one.
Marine Archaeological explorations around Dwarka: The on-shore and off-shore explorations carried out in and around Dwarka during last 50 years have revealed that Dwarka was a prosperous city in ancient times, which was destroyed and reconstructed several times. The work of great excavators like ZD Ansari and MS Mate and chance discovery of temples of 9th century AD and 1st century AD buried near the present Dwarkadhish Temple, prompted setting up of a Marine Archaeology Centre jointly by the National Institute of Oceanography and the Archaeological Survey of India. A project for marine archaeological explorations in Dwarka was initiated under the dynamic leadership of great marine archaeologist Dr Rao, who has the distinction of being awarded "The World Ship Trust Award" for outstanding research in this field.
Dr Rao's team consisted of expert under-water explorers, trained diver-photographers and archaeologists. The technique of geophysical survey was combined with the use of echo-sounders, mud-penetrators, sub-bottom profilers and under-water metal detectors. This team carried out 12 marine archaeological expeditions between the year 1983 to 1992 AD and articles/antiquities recovered were sent to Physical Research Laboratory for dating. By using thermo- luminescence, carbon dating and other modern scientific techniques, artifacts were found to be belonging to the period 15th to 18th century BC. In his great work, The Lost City of Dwarka, Dr Rao has given scientific details of these discoveries and artifacts. Conclusions arrived at after carrying out these under-water archaeological explorations support and validate the dates arrived at through astronomical calculations. These also prove that the reconstructed city of Dwarka was a prosperous port town, and that it was in existence for about 60-70 years in the 15th century BC before being submerged under the sea in the year 1443 BC.
Attempts have also been made to determine the year of Mahabharata from the details available in scriptures which include Puranas. When events are unrecorded for quite some time and are passed on to the succeeding generations through Shruti and Smriti, the inaccuracies and myths get mixed with reality on account of differences in the perceptions of different individuals. However, it is for the objective rational individual mind to find out and differentiate fact from fiction. Important information, including the genealogy charts of rulers after Yudhishthira, are available in Srimad Bhagvatam, Matsya Puran and Vayu Purana. On the basis of such evidence, famous historian Lord Cunningham assigned the year 1424 BC to the War of Mahabharata.
Evidences referred to earlier point more to the probability that nobody had come to India from Central Asia or from any other place. In fact, Indo-Aryan kings and warriors had come to Kurukshetra in their war chariots from all over India to participate in the Mahabharata War and that a whole lot of people got killed in that war. The killers as well as the killed, the victors as well as the vanquished, the charioteers as well as the foot soldiers, all were Indians who had already experienced thousands of years of prosperous and advanced civilization. Archaeology also records a continuous indigenous evolution of Vedic civilization going back to 5000 BC at sites like Mehrgarh and Koldi.
It is sad that so far we have not known even a fraction about our ancient civilization and cultural achievements. Detailed factual data in our ancient texts and Sanskrit manuscripts is beckoning us to carry out further research. By making use of modern scientific instruments and techniques we must discover the true facts about our ancient past. If we do, we may be able to gather supportive evidences to reassert that ours was the oldest civilization in the world and that our ancestors, the Vedic Aryans, had travelled from India to various parts of Asia and Europe to spread our knowledge, civilization and culture. When this is recorded we would be able to hold our heads higher and be able to take on the future with greater confidence.

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Sri Panca-tattva.
We are starting a new conference called Panca-tattva Nectar on PAMHO, so devotees can share their realizations and memories of the recent festival in Mayapur.
During the course of conversations, it was realized that there are so many stories out there, so many different understandings and realizations, so many small and big incidents to share, that we should endeavor to record them all and share them amongst everyone who wants to hear.
Last night, in the Deity Sewing Room upstairs from Sri Panca-tattva's altar, HG Jananivas prabhu was talking with Ramadevi mataji, the Deities' seamstress, along with Lilasamayi devi (from Italy) and Jalangi devi (from China), and myself, and there were endless stories, just between the four of us. We realized that these stories should be shared. Ramadevi suggested a conference, and Jananivas prabhu said it was a wonderful idea, so this is what we are now doing.
Please share the news with others in your zone who have returned from Mayapur, and those who did not come to Mayapur but who want to share the nectar. So many things have happened in the lives of so many devotees since the arrival of Sri Panca-tattva. It is obvious that we are entering a new phase in ISKCON, and these stories are an encouragement and an inspiration to everyone. Please write in to the conference and share the mercy...

Haribol Prabhus and Matajis, and Friends,
Hare Krishna. Please accept my respects. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
H.G. Braja Bihari prabhu, the ISKCON Ombudsman, and "Resolve Project" Coordinator, will be visiting New Zealand, from the 10th of April, this year, to present and teach ISKCON's Mediation Course. It will run for four days, over that Easter weekend, from the 10th - 13th, from 9 AM to 1 PM and 3 to 6:30 PM (these hours to be confirmed), with other short breaks in between.
Following is more about the Course. It is open for everyone, except children; there will be a minimum donation requested (also to be finalised shortly), and we're still working on what arrangements we'll have for prasadam (I expect the course to include at least lunch). I'm sending this out before all the details are final, because I would like to get an indication of interest, to be able to finalise details about numbers, venue and costs.
Several quotes, of many on the subject, from Srila Prabhupada:
"We have so much work to do, we cannot lose our solidarity. Do not cause a crack there with any fighting spirit or competition. Whenever I hear complaints or disturbances in our centers my mind becomes too much disturbed and I cannot properly translate my books. So please spare me from such disturbance by cooperating all together Godbrothers and Godsisters."Srila Prabhupada implored his disciples to cooperate with one another and avoid the kind of in-fighting that could greatly hamper his mission. All too often our loving relationships and missionary drive are hampered by disputes we have with one another."I am very concerned, however, that in the midst of such good reports, the devotees there are quarreling. This report is not very good."
"You have dedicated your life for Krsna and therefore you should be ideal. We are introducing Krsna Consciousness movement for the harmony and good will of humanity. But if you yourselves are suffering from the very ills we are trying to remove, how can the people be influenced favorably? Stop this fighting, tolerate."
"If we fight on account of diversity, then it is simply the material platform. Please try to maintain the philosophy of unity in diversity. That will make our movement successful."
The ISKCON Mediation Course is an opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills to help our fellow devotees overcome misunderstandings and disagreements. It is a lively seminar employing interactive and experiential learning.
The seminar includes:
--The skills and qualities of a good mediator
--Asking the right questions at the right time
--the step-by-step mediation process
--how to encourage those in conflict to attempt mediation
--what is mediate-able?
--two opportunities for each participant to do a role-play mediation
--the ISKCON Resolve project
--employment and preaching opportunities in mediation
Graduates gain a certificate and are added to ISKCON roster of trained mediators.
This course has been taught at the MIHE (The Mayapura Institute for Higher Education), and is now being taught all over the world, to enable devotees to please Srila Prabhupada, by dealing with conflicts that obstruct our ISKCON from within.
"Totally awesome. One of the best things I have seen happening to me since shaving my head for the first time. I am inspired and will try to learn this art which, if actually in place, will transform our society." (Prithu dasa, GBC)I am working with Jaya Sila, Prana and Krsnendu prabhus to offer this service for all of you who might be interested. My request is that any of you who might be inclined, let me know soon, as well as contacting me with any questions, comments or suggestions. Finally, please share this message/ information with anyone else you think might be interested.
Thank you.

HRISIKESH - The Motion Picture
Date: Tue, 09 Mar 2004 01:35:45 -0000
Srila Prabhupada Coming To The Silver Screen
BY EX ORIENTE LUX
USA, Mar 5 (VNN) HRISIKESH - The Motion Picture of Life Times
The extra-ordinary life story of Srila Prabhupada disciple Hrisikesa dasa is set for the Silver Screen. The 600 page pre-production Script is completed and Asia's Pacific Film Works (20th Century Fox) has given the green light. The 6th Sense director M. Night Shyamalan is under consideration to direct the movie, which will be filmed on location using local production services in California, London, Nepal, India, Thailand, and Bali.
In the movie, tentatively named Hrisikesh, His Divine Grace is a major character. Srila Prabhupada may be played by famous Indian actor, Amrish Puri (who looks very much like Srila Prabhupada). Ben Kingsley may play HDG Srila Bon Maharaj. Josh Hartnett is under consideration to play Hrisikesh. Within two years the movie may be seen on main line cinemas around the globe. Featured in this movie are reincarnation, Krishna consciousness, Srila Prabhupada, Srila Bon Maharaj, Gaudiya Vaishnava Ashram life, Gaudiya siddhanta (mostly question and answer), the subplot of tug-of-war between Srila Prabhupada and Srila Bon Maharaj is also a feature. It is also a Rock 'n' Roll movie about The Misunderstood, it is a fugitive - escape movie, it is a culture shock movie, it is a war movie, and it is a thriller!!!
First he gets murdered, then his adventure begins: This movie begins in 1947 with Hrisikesh as an 80 year old sadhu getting shot during partition riots and then reborn in America as Richard Shaw-Brown. It features Hrisikesh as a rock 'n' roll star fugitive meeting devotees in San Francisco (1967) and becoming a disciple of Srila Prabhupada; it also features the philosophy of Lord Chaitanya, and the early days of the Hare Krishna Movement, also featured will be Vrindavan, and Mount Govardhan, and Varshana, and Nandagram, and Jaipur, and Karoli, and Delhi, and Bombay, and swinging 60s London, the extraordinarily great band, The Misunderstood, and it's unfair plight and super music, and exotic Bali; also the Vietnam draft and Boot Camp (with Uncle Sam demonized as the Devil and Vietnam war as hell), state of the art technology will be used to create FX reincarnation scenes that will be a roller-coaster ride for the viewers, Shyamasundar & Mukunda Maharaj are chief characters, as is Srila Krishna Das Babaji; it is also a Katmandu movie, a 1967 Summer of Love hippy movie, and an ANTI-WAR MOVIE! It is a story of East meets West.
To read a synopsis click http://www.hrisikesh.net/Synopsis.htm Richard Shaw Brown, who co-wrote the screenplay, will be a consultant in several countries to help with the story boards and other details of costumes, procedures, etc.
This is a 1st for Srila Prabhupada himself to be featured in a big budget Hollywood movie. And on the pretext of telling Hrisikesa's story, Lord Krishna's philosophy is revealed. Password holders are welcome to download the entire script as a pdf.file before it goes beyond pre-production and a line producer breaks it up into lighting script, cameras script, sets script, costumes script, above and below the line actors scripts, make up script, locations script, etc. This film should be a BIG boost for Gaudiya Vaishnavism, and help make Srila Prabhupada much more famous. Just as Mel Gibsons's Passion is reviving so much interest in Christ, so Hrisikesh can create a global revival of Srila Prabhupada and Gaudiya Siddhanta.

An unmissable opportunity for all of us - this is your chance to help create the first government funded Hindu school in the UK!
We will start as a primary school in the London Borough of Harrow and then look to expand into an 11+ in the upcoming years. The school will be run in affiliation with Bhaktivedanta Manor. We have spoken to the local council and central government - both are supportive. They have invited us to make a formal proposal which includes PROVING the DEMAND for such a facility.
Hence, we need everyone over the age of 18 (those with or without children) to fill in the questionnaire. It should be as many people as possible, including those in the same household, and from all over the UK (or those that have a residential address here) - we will specifically be targeting those that live in Harrow / Brent / Barnet. Please take the 5minutes it requires to fill this in. It is crucial we have sufficient responses to make our case.
Please go now to:
Forward this email to as many people as possible and start talking about it to others.
Thank you!

Extract from Glen McQurik's Map for Life - daily inspiration
YOU CAN NEVER SEE THE SUNRISE BY LOOKING TO THE WEST.
How you position yourself to receive makes all the difference. For example, as you read this book, if you position yourself to receive by saying to the Lord, "I will take action on what Yu show me," you will benefit more than if you read it just to be motivated or inspired.
Action springs not from thought, but from a readiness for responsibility. Position yourself to be ready for responsibility.
I've known many people who were excellent reservoirs of learning yet never had an idea. " Eyes that look are common. Eyes that see are rare," says J. Oswald Sanders. The problem is we're flooded with information and starving for revelation.
To resist or receive is a choice we make every day. Nothing dies quicker than a new idea in a closed mind. It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows. I believe that Jesus responded strongly to the Pharisees because they refused to position themselves to receive.
Availability is the greatest ability you have. The devil trembles when he hears God's weakest servant say , " Yes, Lord I'll do it!" When you're facing God, your back is turned to the devil. never give up control of your life to anything but faith.
Our walk with God begins with the word "Follow" and ends with the word "Go!" The opportunities God sends won't wake up those who are asleep.
"Kneeling is the proper posture for putting seeds into the ground," says Brooks Atkinson. The Christian on his knees sees more than the world on its tiptoes.
Opportunities can drop in your lap if you have your lap where opportunities drop. When you don't position yourself to receive, it's like praying for a bushel but only carrying a cup. Don't pray for rain if you're going to complain about the mud.
We typically see things, not as they are, but as we are. By how we position ourselves, we will see the evidence of God everywhere or nowhere. Too often our minds are locked on one track. We are looking for red, so we overlook blue; we are thinking tomorrow, and God is saying now we are looking everywhere, and the answer is under our nose.
When a person is positioned correctly, he is already to receive all that God has for him. Position yourself for action.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"Follow your bliss. Find where it is and don't be afraid to follow it." Joseph Campbell
GEM 7
"If you do what other people don't do, you will have what other people don't have." Anonymous
If you do what successful people do you will have what successful people have. You probably know the trite sayings: "Birds of a feather flock together." " A rotten apple spoils the whole barrel." "You become like the people you associate with." All these quotes carry and important message. The message implies that you must be extremely careful with whom you spend your time. Take a moment to list the people whom you spend time with - your inner circle of friends. Ask yourself if they contribute to your growth. Do they inspire and motivate you or are they energy sappers? Are they where they want to be in life? More importantly, can you afford to spend time with them? Remember you want things that other people don't have then you need to be prepared to do things that other people don't do. Make a commitment to continually assess.
* Who do you spend your time with? Are these relationships good for you?

Offering our food to Krishna:
....excerpt from lecture by HDG Srila A.C.
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada - Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.3.1-3 -- San Francisco,
March 28, 1968
The Vedic literature says like this, that God has no leg, no hand. Therefore the impersonalists take advantage of it. "Oh, here it is stated God has no legs, no hands." But the next line is, javana grhita: "He can accept everything which you offer Him in devotion."
Now how He can accept? If He has no hand, how He can accept things from us? That means He hasn't got a hand like us. His hand is different. Therefore even though He is situated in the spiritual world, which is far, far away from us, still, He says in the Bhagavad-gita, it is said,
patram puspam phalam toyam
yo me bhaktya prayacchati
tad aham bhakty-upahrtam
asnami prayatatmanah
Krsna says that "A little flower or little water or a little leaf, whatever My devotee offers Me in love and devotion, I accept it." And tad aham bhakty-upahrtam. "And because he has brought it with great devotion, therefore I eat." Tad aham bhakty-upahrtam asnami. Asnami means "I eat." Now you can say, "All right, I'll offer these fruits and flower to God, but it is the same. It is remaining. How He is eating?" But His eating is not like my eating, because He hasn't got a body like this. This body is material. If you bring me a plate of fruits, this body immediately swallows it. But He has got spiritual body. He eats... Simply as soon as He knows that you have offered it in devotion, He eats immediately.
Go here to follow the simple system for offering
foodstuffs to the Lord
... and always
with the Magic ingredient - Offer it to Krishna.....

Four Wives parable:
http://www.hknet.org.nz/4wives.pps
An atheist professor was teaching a college class and he told the class
that he was going to prove that there was not a God.
He said, "God if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you 15 minutes!"
Ten minutes went by. He kept taunting God, saying, "Here I am God, I'm still waiting"
He got down to the last couple of minutes and a BIG 240-pound football player happened to walk by the door and heard what the professor said.
The football player walked in the classroom and in the last minute, he walked up, hit the professor full force, and sent him flying off the platform.
The professor got up, obviously shaken and said, "Where did you come from, and why did you do that?"
The football player replied, "God was busy; He sent me!"
A lawyer was reading the will of a rich man to the people mentioned
in the will:
"To my loving wife Rose, who stood by me in the rough times as well as the smooth, I will the house and $2 million.
"To my daughter Jessica, who looked after me in illness and kept the business going, I will the yacht, the business, and $1 million.
"And to my cousin Dan, who hated me, argued with me, and thought I would not remember him in my will, you were wrong: Hello, Dan!"
"This court," ruled the Judge. "Grants Mrs. Agarwal $5000 a month maintenance.
"Judge," interjected Mr. Agarwal. "That's very generous of you. I am very impressed at the Us justice dept.
And to tell you the truth, Judge, when business gets better, I'd also like to chip in a little too.
Two western women are overheard talking...............
Barbara was talking to her best friend Sally. Barbara asked, “So, Sally,
how’s your daughter?”
Sally replied, “To tell you the truth, Barbara, not good. She’s so
unhappy with her husband. She can’t even eat. She’s lost fifteen
pounds.”
Barbara then asked, “So why doesn’t she leave him?”
Sally replied “Because she still wants to lose ten more pounds!”
The minister was at his best that week. Orating on hell fire,
he vividly described the sufferings of the damned.
Finally reaching his climax he quoted from the gospels:
“On that day,” he roared. “On that day there will be weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
In the hushed silence a toothless old lady stood up from one of the pews at the back and asked,
“Excuse me Reverend,” some of us have no teeth.”
“Madam,” he roared. “Teeth will be provided.”
A salesman and his colleague were making a sales call to a rural Baptist
church.
They gave their presentation to the church committee, and then the
group's chairman who walked down to the altar and knelt down.
After a minute of silent prayer, he returned and announced in a solemn
tone, "The Lord tells me we should wait."
One rather on to it salesman responded by walking to the altar and
kneeling down himself.
Then he returned to the group, looked at the chairman, and declared,
"He wants to talk with you again."
I always know God won't give me more than I can handle, but there are
times I wish He didn't trust me quite so much.
Did you ever wonder?
Could it be said that God didn't go into the religion business until he was sure that he could make a prophet!
The best storage method devised was a square based pyramid with one ball on top, resting on four resting on nine which rested on sixteen. Thus, a supply of 30 cannon balls could be stacked in a small area right next to the cannon.
There was only one problem...how to prevent the bottom layer from sliding or rolling from under the others.
The solution was a metal plate called a "Monkey" with 16 round indentations. But, if this plate was made of iron, the iron balls would quickly rust to it.
The solution to the rusting problem was to make "Brass Monkeys." Few landlubbers realize that brass contracts much more and much faster than iron when chilled.
Consequently, when the temperature dropped too far, the brass indentations would shrink so much that the iron cannon balls would come right off the monkey.
Thus, it was quite literally, "Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey". (And all this time, you thought that was an improper expression, didn't you?)

An atheist was spending a quiet day fishing when suddenly his boat
was attacked by the Loch Ness monster.
In one easy flip, the beast tossed him and his boat high into the air.
Then it opened its mouth to swallow both.
As the man sailed head over heels, he cried out, "Oh, my God!
Help me!"
At once, the ferocious attack scene froze in place, and as the atheist
hung in mid-air,
a booming voice came down from the clouds, "I thought you didn't believe
in Me!"
"Come on God, give me a break!!” the man pleaded. "Two minutes ago I didn't believe in the Loch Ness monster either!"

A man enters a barber shop for a shave.
While the barber is foaming him up, he mentions the problems he has getting a close shave around the cheeks.
"I have just the thing," says the barber taking a small wooden ball from a nearby drawer.
"Just place this between your cheek and gum."
The client places the ball in his mouth and the barber proceeds with the closest shave the man has ever experienced.
After a few strokes the client asks in garbled speech.
"And what if I swallow it?"
"No problem," says the barber. "Just bring it back tomorrow like everyone else does."
A woman was at home with her children when the telephone rang.
In going to answer it, she tripped on a rug, grabbed for something to hold
on to and seized the telephone table. It fell over with a crash, jarring
the receiver off the hook. As it fell, it hit the family dog, which leaped
up, howling and barking. The woman's three-year-old son, startled by this
noise, broke into loud screams. The woman mumbled some colorful words.
She finally managed to pick up the receiver and lift it to her ear, just
in time to hear her husband's voice on the other end say,
"Nobody's said hello yet, but I'm positive I have the right number."
After a quarrel, a wife said to her husband, "You know, I was a fool
when I married you."
The husband replied, "Yes, dear, but I was in love and didn't notice."
A man inserted an 'ad' in the classifieds: "Wife wanted".
Nextday he received a hundred letters.
They all said the same thing: "You can have mine."

For centuries, Hindu women have worn a red spot on their foreheads.
We have naively thought it had something to do with the religion or
culture.
The true story has just been revealed by the Indian Embassy in Washington.
When one of these women gets married, on her wedding night,
the husband scratches off the red spot to see if he has won a convenience
store,
a taxi cab, a gas station, or a motel in Florida, or a dairy in New
Zealand.

British Airways - to solve racism on plane.
The following scene took place on a BA flight between Johannesburg and London. The source is unfortunately unknown, but considering that racism is still an ongoing issue in the public, please read and judge by yourself.
A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air Hostess. Madam, what is the matter, the hostess asked.
You obviously do not see it then? She responded. You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat.
Be calm please, the hostess replied. Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available.
The Hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later. Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is also no seat in the business class. All the same, we still have one place in the first class.
Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued. It is not
usual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in
the first class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that
it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone sooooo disgusting.
... She turned to the black gentleman, and said.
Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please take your hand luggage because a seat awaits you in the first class. At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed - stood up and applauded!
This is a true story which is not usually told. If you are against racism, please send this message to all your friends if you want. Please do not delete it without sending it to at least one person. (Well, it's up to you)
