pasyami tvam sarvato 'nanta-rupam
nantam na madhyam na punas tavadim
pasyami visvesvara visva-rupa

WORD FOR WORD
aneka--many; bahu--arms; udara--bellies; vaktra--mouths; netram--eyes;
pasyami--I see; tvam--You; sarvatah--on all sides;
ananta-rupam--unlimited form; na antam--no end; na madhyam--no middle;
na punah--nor again; tava--Your; adim--beginning; pasyami--I see;
visva-isvara--O Lord of the universe; visva-rupa--in the form of the
universe.

TRANSLATION
O Lord of the universe, O universal form, I see in Your body many,
many arms, bellies, mouths and eyes, expanded everywhere, without
limit. I see in You no end, no middle and no beginning.

PURPORT
Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and is unlimited; thus
through Him everything could be seen.

POTATOES LORRAINE
INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons of yogurt beaten
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 large potatoes -- unpeeled and cooked
2 teaspoons yellow hing powder
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese -- divided
4 handfulls of TVP bacon bits -- crumbled and divided
Paprika

INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine yogurt, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Grate potatoes
and measure 3 cups; stir grated potatoes into yogurt mixture.
Add hing, half of cheese, and half of TVP bacon bits. Spoon mixture
into a lightly greased 1-1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle top
with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle
top with remaining cheese and TVP bacon bits; bake casserole an
additional 5 minutes.

Yield: 4 servings.

One day a young man was visiting the fair. Over to one side was a small
tent, with a sign that said "For 50 dollars I'll teach you to be a mind
reader! - Apply within."

So the young man thought that he'd give it a go, and went inside.
Behind a small table inside was an old man, who looked up when the young
man entered and says, "Ah, you must be here for the mind reading lessons."
"Er, yes," the young man said.
"Well, follow me, and I'll give you your first lesson."

Then the old man goes out the back of the tent and comes back with a
hose. "Here, hold this hose," he said.
"Why?" said the young man.

"It's part of the lesson," replies the old man, "Now, look in the end
and tell me what you see."

So the young man looks into the end of the hose, and only sees darkness.
"I don't see anything," he tells the old man.

Just then the old man turns on a tap, and the hose shoots water into
the young man's face.

"I just knew you'd do something like that." the young man shouts at the
old man.

"There. You are now a mind reader!" the old man replies,
"That'll be 50 dollars."

As the storm raged, the captain realized his ship was sinking fast.
He called out, "Anyone here know how to pray?"

One man stepped forward. "Aye, Captain, I know how to pray."
"Good," said the captain, "you pray while the rest of us put on our
life jackets - we're one short."
----------------------------------------------------------------
Revenge:

A guy was known among his friends to be very brief and to the point. He
really never said too much. One day, a rather pushy saleswoman promoting
a certain brand of brushes, knocked his door and asked to see his wife, so
the guy told her that she wasn't home.
"Well," the woman said, "could I please wait for her?"
The man directed her to the drawing room and left her there for more than
three hours waiting.

...where the term "TO HOLD AT BAY" came from?

Those of us who are familiar with Landseer's painting, THE STAG AT BAY,
know the meaning of the phrase; when facing a desperate situation, to hold
at a standstill. Despite the picture, the fact that the dogs are obviously
barking or baying is just a chance double meaning of the word "bay."
Our phrase seems to come from the French phrase, tenir a bay, which
really means "to hold in a state of suspense or inaction."

British Airways intends to introduce compulsory drink and drug testing
for staff, following the grounding of 11 pilots and three cabin crew
members for alleged drinking before flights.

A BA spokesman aid that they had been looking into the possibility
since May, but the publicity surrounding the charges made by a Channel
4 documentary has clearly stiffened their resolve.

The allegations made in the TV programme refer to short-haul flights
out of Gatwick airport to European destinations, with one pilot said
to have had the equivalent of 10 pints of beer before a flight.
